WhatsApp, a messaging app owned by Meta, is currently getting ready to add an Al assistant to your conversations. This new feature is called Writing Help. Its task will be to assist you in writing your message correctly, fixing any grammatical errors, and altering the message’s tone so you can make the necessary changes before sending it.
What is the process for Writing Help?
Currently, WhatsApp Beta (Android) is being used to test the feature. Instead of a sticker, a tiny pen icon will show up when users type a message.
You will receive three different versions of the message after clicking this icon, which will send the message to Meta Al. such as rephrased, humorous, professional, or encouraging text. In addition to selecting one of these options, users have the option to make minor edits if they so choose. The unique aspect is that the person to whom the message is addressed won’t be aware that Al wrote it.
Privacy and data safety
Writing Help, according to Meta, will focus on private processing technology. In other words, an anonymous and encrypted path will be used to deliver the message request, and no user or source will be identified. WhatsApp also asserts that it doesn’t store data and only displays Al’s recommendations when you use Writing Help on your own.
Who will benefit from this feature?
those who wish to appear more polished during business conversations.
People who wish to inject some humor into their conversations with friends.
or people who occasionally struggle with message writing.
